Moelwyn Hopkins.Moelwyn Hopkins was born in 1973, he is a fluent Welsh speaker and grew up on the foot of the Black Mountains in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. After qualifying as an Electrician, Moelwyn worked in the Security industry as an Electrical Engineer and now lives and works as a professional photographer in the City of Swansea. His interest in Photography began at the age of 20 when he bought his first Canon 35mm SLR camera. His love for photography quickly developed and Moelwyn's passion for taking pictures remains to this day.
Moelwyn has gained a wealth of experience by photographing most subject matter. In 1997 while still an amateur, Moelwyn's talents as a photographer were recognized when he won a major photographic competition organized by Practical Photography Magazine and Double Red Photographic. Moelwyn's winning picture of a Harness Racer illustrated the competitions theme 'Action' in an inventive and creative way which made it 'Stand out from the rest' as were the judges own words. The rewards for his effort was an all expenses paid five day working assignment in Dubai photographing the Formula One Powerboat World Championship alongside Double Red's own front man James Wright. 'It was the best experience of my life' says Moelwyn, 'something I shall never forget, especially when photographing the powerboats at top speed from a helicopter with my legs hanging in mid air! The powerboats are truly awsome machines!
S A-One Photographic was set up in September 2004 and strives to provide a quality service and exceed customers expectations.
